Hey Kim and Jackie!
Sorry it's been so long, but we've been soooo busy this year, that we haven't had time for anyone! I wanted to let you know how Lucy is doing and let you in on some of our activities lately.
Lucy still isn't over her chewing up comforters, but she's becoming a little better. We've just figured out that we can't trust her out for too long when we aren't home so she either gets put in her crate or all the doors get shut so she can't get into the "fluffy stuff". Do you remember telling us how much of a cuddler she is? Well, she's living up to that times 10! Compaired to Damien, who could care less if you sit by him, Lucy has to be on our laps 24/7. She isn't dominant about it, though. She just wants to be next to someone... it's almost as though she HAS to have that contact... like we're going to leave her or something. She's developing some slight issues when she gets excited. If she gets too excited, she just has to turn around and start itching herself... we've tried to direct her attention away from it, but she only stops when the playing stops. We're still working on figuring this out with the vet. He says we may have to put her on anti-anxiety meds, but I want that to be our last option. We're trying to just divert her attention for now.
We are going camping this weekend out at Coffeen Lake. This is a pet-friendly camp ground with great fishing! I'm bringing a camara along, so I hope to have pictures to go along with this letter by the end of the week. We've never taken the dogs camping before so it should be quite interesting!
You gals do such a wonderful thing for animals... if only everyone could do the same thing... I wish you luck and I'll try to get the word out about your organization.
Talk to you later! Lynsey, James, Damien, and Lucy Lu
