Kirby
Kirby was rescued from an Animal Control facility on what would have been his last day.  You see black dogs are the #1 enuthesized pet in the US because they are too often overlooked by adopters and rescues.  That day we rescued all black dogs.  Kirby was definetly one of the lucky ones... and now has a home and a loving family.

Kim and Jackie,
I would love to come to the anniversary and bring Kirby, but I'm working. Thanks for letting me know and putting me on the newsletter though.
BTW, Kirby found his "bark"  last week. He hears things or sees things and lets everyone know. Which is what I want. He also has been going to the door and whining when he wants to go outside. He's doing really great.

Hello,
I took Kirby to the vet. yesterday and he checked out ok. I spoke to the vet. about his enormous appetite and he said to feed him  3 times a day, instead of 2. And give him more food. Kirby is so funny and his personality is so different than the dog I had before. But then again, I got my previous dog when he was 2 yrs old. For instance, Kirby tried to climb in the tub with me this morning. Then he barked at the blow dryer. At first, he wouldn't go down the basement stairs- which is where Ryan stays. But after coaxing, he now freely goes downstairs. He is such a cute puppy. He's had 3 peeing mistakes. One was in his crate, but I blame that on me because he didn't have enough time outside after eating. I took him outside after eating and he did both jobs, but then I had him come in right afterwards and crated him,  so we could leave.
I can't wait til the next obedience training class, because I need training.
