Almond Joy
Almond Joy (aka Snickers) and her 7 other litter mates were born in our home.  Their mother, "Autumn" was rescued from Animal Control.  She was pregnant and her puppies were due anyday.  At Animal Control, pregnant dogs are either rescued or put down.  We couldn't bear to see such a wonderful and sweet dog put down so we rescued her.  Four days later she gave birth to eight beautiful, healthy puppies (The Candy Bar Litter).
Now Snickers has a fantastic family who loves her very much.  Please come back often to see her wonderful updates and pictures.

Hi Kim and Jackie,
I am sorry we have been so bad about sending  you the awesome photo's of our Snickers formely known as Almond Joy...  Jack really liked the name Snickers and it seems to "fit".   Our daughter Megan has been pretty sick with a kidney infection and has been hospitalized for the past few days... Life is crazy.   So, when I get a moment I will forward the photo's ....
But in the mean time - I will tell you how much we LOVE our new puppy.   She is doing wonderful - her ride home was great - she loved Stephanies 3 little dogs and slept all the way home to Lombard from Springfield.
Our other dog Libby - wasn't so sure about the little black spot we brought home and seemed to just ignore her for several day's.   Snickers didn't like that - she wanted to play and Libby would just step over her.  We think she was missing the little dog that we gave back.
But they are now friends and play very good together.  Libby loves the puppies food and the puppy loves Libby's food.   She sleeps with Jack every night and Jack will get up at 3 am if the puppy starts crying to go out and   he let her outside!    I don't know who this little boy is~!!!
We are greatful for the great care you have obviously given to all those puppies - because we have a healthy - happy new pet.
Fondly,
The  Pike Family
